One of the most recognizable and personal composition of Anna Maria Huszcza (b. 1987, MA in composing and rhythmics, graduate and PhD candidate at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music; her compositions combine different musical styles from solo, chamber and symphonic music via electronic and multimedia pieces and film music). AbySsus was composed for saxophonist Paweł Gusnar. First performed on May 22, 2013. Here we can listen to a new version, prepared by the composer especially for this anthology. Greek abyssos means English abyss, also a depht, a chasm. In biblical context finds it refers to a text about hope and trust.
She combine different styles from solo, chamber, symphonic music via electronic and multimedia pieces and film music. She is especially keen to work on interdyscyplinary projects, combining music with dance, images and words. Anna Maria Huszcza is laureate of many competitions for composers. Her compositions have already been published four times: in the Warsaw Autumn chronicle, "Paweł Gusnar. Saxophone Varie" CD, "Folk&Roll" CD by Zagan Avoustic and "WydziwiAnka" (monographic album).
