about

O wątku kobiecym w lirnictwie pisze Natalia Kononenko w swojej pracy "Ukrainian minstrels", a i sama Natalia Serbina prowadzi własne badania w tym zakresie. Sporo występuje w Rosji, gdzie przyjaźni się z wykonawcami z kręgu zespołu Sirin i gdzie wydała swoją pierwszą solową płytę w 2011.

Natalia Serblna, Ph.D. of Music art, is an Ukrainian singer, ethnomuslcologist, teacher and a winner of International competitions. Natalia sang in the folk ensemble "Bozhychi" and "Drevo", has been the head of tiw band "Strila" since 2008. She performs as a singer accompanying herself on a hurdy-gurdy, and also conducts research on women's role In hurdy-gurdy performance. Dr. Serbina frequently conducts workshops on Ukrainian traditional singing in various countries, tours and performs at international festivals. She also participates in studio recordings, research activities, theatre, art and educational projects, and also closely collaborates with the radio and TV programs.
Second album by Natalia Serblna, "What is this predivo (miracle)," thematically continues the first one, " Oh, I will go out on that high mountain." Here one can find peasant poetry (household, chumatski, recruiting, burlatskii) and hurdy-gurdy songs, which were the basis of the repertoire of the "elders" (as they were called in Polesie), wandering singers and hurdy-gurdy men, even before the 1930s. The album includes philosophical "No truth in the world," historical "Bondarevna", "What is this Predivo" carol and psalms about Christ and filicide, "On the Maundy Thursday in the afternoon." Most of the songs recorded by Natalia Serbina in her expeditions around Ukraine from 2002 to 2014
